Deitra (Dee) James
made her kitchen debut at age 7 cooking with her grandmother. After
many years of working and learning with local caterers and restaurants,
she went on to create delicious desserts for customers all over Richmond.
She expanded to full-scale
catering as DeeVa’s Delights in 2001. In 2004, they became
DeeVa’s Delights Custom Catering and moved to 2129 Staples
Mill Road in Richmond, which not only serves as its base
of operations, but also offers a meeting room for up to 50 guests. Staff includes current and former students of Culinary Institute of America, University of Richmond-Culinary Arts Program, J Sargent Reynolds - Hospitality Program
